IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that it has been recognized as the world leader in the intrusion detection (IDS) and intrusion prevention (IPS) market in 2007 in a new research service by global growth consulting company, Frost & Sullivan. The research service, entitled World Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems Markets, examined the market penetration, long-term vision and competitive differentiators of over 40 market participants and found IBM ISS to be the leader with a 22 percent share of the global market.
